Canopy is an over-ear headphone made of oiled walnut, brushed aluminum, and patience. Forty hours of listening. Active noise cancellation tuned to the hush of old growth. Nothing that blinks.
Ten days of quiet afternoons on a single charge.
Six microphones, tuned against the drone of cities.
Grown, not moulded — a warmer midrange by nature.
Balanced across a steam-bent aluminum headband.
“We tuned Canopy the way a forest tunes itself — by removing what doesn’t belong.”
Field recording site · Vermejo, alt. 2,400 m
Macro · American black walnut, ×6
Each pair of earcups is turned from a single board of American black walnut, then finished with three coats of cold-pressed linseed oil. The grain never repeats. Neither will yours.
The headband and yokes are milled from a single billet of 6061 aluminum, brushed along the grain and left unlacquered — so it wears a soft patina where your hands return to it.

Most cancellation fights sound with sound. Ours listens first — six microphones sample the room 48,000 times a second, then remove only what isn’t music.
What remains is the quiet you notice a hundred metres into the trees: not silence, exactly. Room to hear.
Every finish uses the same walnut earcups and unlacquered aluminum frame. Dyes are plant-derived; colour deepens gently with sunlight and years.
